download the The1401Room??.ZIP, and unpack it into a folder.
No special installation required, just start 'The1401Room??.exe' in the main folder.

after the first run, the data path can be found at:
...<appication path>\\The1401RoomN2\\saved
...<appication path>\\The1401RoomN2\\saved\\SaveGames

Linux & Mac

Mac and Linux require additional work and hardware, so there are only some
very old deprecated version, which you may try for testing purposes.
In the forseeable future, I won't have the resources to maintain these versions.

Linux:
The1401Room_0_2_15_linux_C.zip

Mac:
The1401RoomN2_0_2_15.zip

MacOS version compiled and tested on an Macbook Pro 15" A1398 (2015),
2,5GHz Quad i7, 16GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB, Catalina 10.15.7

For the Apple MacOS, the ZIP contains a standard .app
It should run from any folder, but you also may move it to your program path to add it
 to your program menu.

The data path on MacOS can be found (after the first run and quit) at:
/Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Epic/The1401roomN2/Saved
